Fridays & Saturdays
Fridays and Saturdays have earned legendary status at Oktoberfest Brisbane with heightened spirits igniting the city with its famous Bavarian flair. The Bavarian Village is open from 12pm to Midnight, so don’t miss out on the chance to start early and stay late.
Following century-old Bavarian tradition, Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner will tap the first keg of beer at the festival’s Anzapfen ceremony on the first Friday, signalling the flow of bier, good cheer, entertainment and cultural indulgence.
The Bavarian Oompah Band will have everyone swaying and chinking steins along with their catchy tunes. Heidi’s yodels lift the audience into the Alpine treetops, and the frenetic energy of the Alpenrosen Dance Group never fails to get everyone shoe-slapping. Join the roaring crowd as we search for the most German at heart with our Miss Oktoberfest competition and cheer on our Bavarian Strongmen battling it out for the title!
For the first time ever, we’re rewarding those who purchase tickets early with an Autobahn Express Service that allows you to ‘skip the queue’ and grab a stein in super speed.
2021 sees our Friday sessions kick starting at midday so you can make a real day and night of it! Work a half day then walk away into a world of Bavarian festivities. Make sure you’ve donned your Lederhosen and Drindls ready for a night of fun – the ultimate way to herald/welcome in the weekend.
