About Us

Willkommen to Oktoberfest Brisbane 2014. Join in the celebrations of all things German at Australia’s largest German Festival. Experience German culture first-hand – grab your friends, colleagues, kids and the whole family for a memorable day of the most authentic German foods and beverages, traditional entertainment, shows, rides, hands-on activities and lots more fun.

Taste the finest German gourmet delights and classic favourites such as pork knuckle or a freshly-baked pretzel, Black Forest cake or Bratwurst. Savour hand-crafted beers, German wines and champagne, including Oktoberfest Brisbane’s very own specialty brews. Dance the Chicken Dance or move to the groove of the traditional Oktoberfest band flown in from Munich. Learn about German culture and history in the most enjoyable way possible, relax in the authentic Munich Biergarten, be entertained by fabulous stage shows and competitions in the Oktoberfest Tent and German Connections Tent, or be a part of all the great outdoor activities – on each festival day, at the Brisbane Showgrounds (previously RNA Showgrounds).

Enjoy our wide range of authentic German entertainment with traditional dancers, bell-ringers, leg-slappers and our favourite yodelers, Adeline and Heidi. Watch the thrills as Miss Oktoberfest Brisbane competition entrants try milking real ‘training’ udders, or the Bavarian Strongmen competitors test their ‘keg rolling’ skills, while fans of facial hair get to show off their beards in the Beardmeister competition.

Oktoberfest Brisbane is one of the Top 10 Oktoberfests outside of Germany welcoming more than 36,000 visitors last year. Since 2008, two German-Australian families have put all their passion and energy into sharing their cultural traditions and bringing Germany to Brisbane for two wonderful weekends in October each year, for everyone from near and far.

Embrace your inner German at Oktoberfest Brisbane 2014!
