Food

Get ready for a big day out feasting, as the Bavarian Village comes alive with a delicious and diverse range of authentic German tastes and treats – it’s like a German Eat Street of incredible variety, and you’ll soon find that you’re truly spoilt for choice in ways to tickle your taste buds. Make sure there’s room in your Lederhosen to fit all of the German treats we’re serving up in 2021.

Try legendary German dishes like schnitzels, pork knuckles and bratwursts. Then as you wander the village, you’ll find more authentic specialties from baked potato dishes to freshly baked pretzels {Brezn}. The lesser known German Ravioli {Maultaschen} and German Pasta {Spaetzle} will certainly tantalise the tastebuds and hit the spot. The sweet tooths amongst us can enjoy some caramelised almonds {gebrannte Mandeln} or a slice of Black Forest, Bee Sting, Sacher Torter or Apple Strudel.

The food alone is worth coming to Oktoberfest Brisbane for as the Festival’s proud family of food vendors combines every year to showcase their traditional German delicacies.
