Wunderbar! After a two-year (you-know-what-induced-it) hiatus, The Only Oktoberfest Brisbane is back in 2022, reuniting lovers of German culture at Australia’s biggest and most authentic annual German celebration.
For six huge Festival days across two weekends, on 7-9 & 14-16 Oktober Brisbane comes alive with an unparalleled celebration of all things German. More than 35,000 culture-seeking enthusiasts will descend on the Brisbane Showgrounds, bringing together stein-raisers from across the country.
Wearing their German heritage on their sleeves, wife and husband team Kim and Boris Zoulek are once again ready to deliver the only authentic German Oktoberfest celebration in Australia (named one of the top 10 Oktoberfest celebrations outside Germany by National Geographic).
Festival Directors Kim and Boris Zoulek promise another jam-packed program featuring the brand new, home-grown Oktoberfest Brisbane Bavarian Oompah Band joining the line-up. It will be Munich to your ears.
“Our Fridays and Saturdays have earned legendary status at Oktoberfest Brisbane, and this year they are bigger and better than ever,” said Boris. “For the first time in the event’s history we are kicking off from 12pm on Fridays making it the perfect time to knock off work early and get into your German best to experience the incredible music, live performances and plentiful food and drinks,” said Boris.
“On Sundays, our ultimate Dämmerschoppen {Sunday sessions} will certainly give you something to yodel home about with tickets for only $25 including unlimited free rides and more entertainment than you can poke a pretzel at,” said Kim. It’s the perfect day for all ages with children 17 years and under enjoying free entry. Grab a table or bring a picnic blanket and settle into an afternoon in the Biergarten.
